Title:- Laid In The Manger!

Opening Scripture: Luke 2:7 (KJV)
“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:7 (KJV)
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: if the Son of the living God was laid in the manger at His birth, yet He conquered and fulfilled His earthly ministry: anybody can make it, irrespective of the circumstances surrounding your birth.
Every bit of Jesus Christ's earthly experience is important, powerful and still relevant till date; they are not mare historical accounts but one with abundant spiritual implications and benefits both to the old and modern day christianity otherwise known as Pentecostalism. Jesus Christ the Son of the living God came into the world to rescue mankind from the power of sin and death yet there was no room to receive Him in the guest inn where He was birthed. The opening scripture made it clear that He was wrapped in a swaddling clothe and laid in manger; manger is a wooden box with an opening, usually used to feed animals in the stable and horses live in a stable.
Very quickly let's explore the significance of horse and the manger: horses are one of the most valuable and expensive animals use for transportation in the ancient times, they signifies wealth and royalty. On the other hand, manger is a wooden box with an opening use to feed animals in the stable: manger signifies a wealthy plate for feeding animals. If we are to connect these significances one would say Jesus was placed in a royal and wealthy plate (manger) ready to be offered as a sacrificial lamb (Jhn. 3:16A) for the sin of mankind. If the keepers of the inn had known Him that was born and laid in the manger, they would have create a room for Him. (Matt. 2:9-11) He became poor that we might be rich, He took the form of a servant to impact on us the life of honor and dignity (Phil. 2:7, ll Cor. 8:9). Give Him the praise!
