Making The Most out of The Year
MAKING THE MOST OUT OF THE YEAR
Hello and welcome! I am confidence in my spirit that you woke up sound and healthy, strong and ready for the activities of today; come on! let God hear your voice of appreciation right now.
Actually, I wish to open your eyes to a most profiting scripture from the Word of God today. What you are about to read is going to turn your eyes to the right direction, it will push you to look inward and Make The Most Out of the year.
And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. (Matt 25:15)
There is something spectacular about you that you are yet to discover, tap-into or make the most of; you have been handed something according to your ability. This thing I am talking about is tag "Talent" it's unique to everyone of us, you are to serve God with it and at the long run benefit or profit from it.
... for instance, any pipe that will be used to supply water cannot escape being wet. To be plugged in to a source means to be in touch or in charge of resources.
The scripture above said " He gave every man according to his several ability" which means each and everyone of us is some worth loaded with talents. Verses 19 to 23 said;
After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. (Matthew 25:19-23 )
What this mean is that, you are guaranteed minimum double reward of what you make out of your talents. See what Jesus said to the two servants who engaged with their talents and did profited from ownsuch:
"well done, thou good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things" so, being good and faithful with the few you have been given is what put you in charge of many things.
Did you also hear what He said to the other person which one talent was given? let's check it out again in verse 26 of Matthew 25: "Thou wicked and slothful servant"
To everyone talents were given according to their ability, and multiplication is expected for our profiting in the kingdom.
I may not know how to sing, you may not know how to preach and the other person may not know how to teach but there is something we all have been wired to do in the body of Christ.
Just last week an elderly man in our church came to me, only to tell me how he has been uncomfortable serving God in one service unit (sanctuary) only, in his word "Pastor! I can't teach, I can't sing in the choir but something inside of me keep pushing me that I can do more for God, and that God is expecting me to do more than cleaning the church" I looked at him, comparing his old physical stamina and age with the passion that is burning inside of him and I was ministered to. After a section with him that day, the Holy Spirit bigan to demand more from me too.
Did you want to Make The Most Out of 2021? Then:
1. Prayerfully ask God to show you what you are made of; the Talents you are loaded with,
2. engage in scriptural meditations and yield to divine instructions,
3. finally, locate a department or service unit in your local church and get actively involve in kingdom service.
... to serve God is to qualify for His servicing. (2 Timothy 2:6)
